WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of liability
insurance, including comprehensive general liability, fleet
liability, and public officials errors and omission coverage, for the
period January 1 , 1983 through January 1 , 1984 ; and,
WHEREAS, Texas Municipal League submitted a bid in the
amount of $306,403.00 including a $25 million dollar umbrella policy;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Texas Municipal League is the lowest and best bid and
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Texas Municipal League for liability insurance for
the period January 1 , 1983 through January 1 , 1984 in the amount of
$306,403. 00 be accepted by the City of Beaumont and the City Manager
is hereby authorized to pay for same .
