WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of two
hundred fifty ( 250) bunker coats, two hundred fifty ( 250) bunker
pants and two hundred twenty-six ( 226) firefighting helmets; and,
WHEREAS, Halprin Supply Company of Houston, Texas
submitted a bid in the amount of $51,348. 30 ; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Halprin Supply Company is the lowest and best bid and
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Halprin Supply Company in the amount of $51, 348. 30
for the purchase of bunker coats, pants and firefighting helmets be
accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the City Manager is hereby
authorized to pay for same upon acceptable delivery.
