R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of seven (7 )
pickup trucks and two ( 2 ) 2-door sedans
WHEREAS, Beaumont Motor Company submitted the following
bid:
Beaumont Motor Company:
Two small pickup trucks $13, 208. 12
A 3/4 ton pickup truck 7,484.67
A pickup truck with utility bed 8 ,860. 35
Two 2-door sedans 11, 176.86
$40,730. 00
and,
WHEREAS, Kinsel Motor Company submitted the following
bid:
Kinsel Motor Company_:
One 1/2 ton pickup with air coed. $ 6 ,791 . 77
One 1/2 ton pickup 6, 179.70
One additional 1/2 ton pickup 6 , 1_79.70
(replacement for crew truck $19, 151. 17
demolished in wreck)
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids
submitted by Beaumont Motor Company and Kinsel Motor Company are
the lowest and best bids and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids of Beaumont Motor Company and Kinsel Motor Company in
the amounts listed above for seven (7 ) pickup trucks and two ( 2 )
2-door sedans be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the City
Manager is hereby authorized to pay for same upon acceptable
delivery .
