WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of 1 ,000
tons of limestone rock asphaltic pavement; and,
WHEREAS, Azrock Industries of San Antonio, Texas
submitted a bid in the amount of $23.69 per ton with $.10 per ton
discount allowable; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Azrock Industries is the lowest and best bid and
should be accepted;
NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Azrock Industries in the amount of $23. 69 per ton
with $ .10 per ton discount allowable for the purchase of 1 ,000
tons of limestone rock asphaltic pavement be accepted by the City
of Beaumont, and the City Manager is hereby authorized to pay for
same upon acceptable delivery.
