R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, an agreement has been negotiated for the purchase of
a tract of land needed for the Dowlen Road Extension Project for its
appraised value;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the purchase from George E. Murphy, et ux, the same being a 0.418
acre tract of land in the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
is hereby authorized for the sum of $13,500.00.
PASSED BYJ THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the

George E. Murphy Tract
BEING a 0.418 acre tract of land out of the Thomas Spears Survey,
Abstract No. 50 in Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas and being
a part of that 3.0 acre tract conveyed to George E. Murphy, et ux
befdeed dated April 8, 1974 by James H. Eaves, et ux and recorded
in Volume 1826, page 70 of the Deed Records of Jefferson County,
Texas, and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a 1/2 inch iron rod set in a southwest corner of the
George E. Murphy property, said iron rod also being the northwest
corner- of the C. L. Worthy, et ux property as recorded in "Volume
1872, page 310 of the Deed Records of Jefferson County, Texas,
dated March 21, 1981;
THENCE South 82 degrees 11 minutes East 101.11 feet along the south
line of the tract herein described also being the north line of
the C. L. Worthy tract, to a 1/2 inch iron rod for corner;
THENCE North 03 degrees 56 minutes 12 seconds West 188.78 feet
along the east line of the tract herein described to a 1/2 inch
iron rod in the north property line of the George E. Murphy
property for corner;
THENCE South 89 degrees 52 minutes West 100.26 feet along the
north line of the tract herein described, said line also being
the north line of the George E. Murphy property, to a 1/2 inch,
iron rod for corner;
THENCE South 04 degrees 14 minutes 41 seconds East 175.09 feet
along the west line of the tract herein described to the place
of beginning, containing 0.418 acres of land, more or less.
