R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, bids were received for the Surface Water
Treatment Plant Improvements - Contract #3; and,
WHEREAS, Midwest Mechanical Contractors, Inc. of
Kansas City, Missouri submitted a bid in the amount of
$6 ,106 , 120. 00, including: deletion of item 3, renovation to
maintenance and generator building; adjustment of the allowance
in item 5 from $225, 000 to the actual amount bid, $134 ,120; and
addition of alternate item 12 in the amount of $50 , 000; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by Midwest is the lowest and best bid and should
be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Midwest Mechanical Contractors, Inc. is hereby
accepted by the City of Beaumont and the City Manager is hereby
authorized to execute a contract with Midwest in the amount of
$6, 106, 120. 00 for the Surface Water Treatment Plant Improvements -
Contract #3.
