R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Gulf States Utilities Company has made
application to the City of Beaumont pursuant to the Public Utility
Regulatory Act for an increase and rates and charges for electric
service provided within the city; and,
WHEREAS, the Public Utility Regulatory Act requires that
the City Council hold a public hearing prior to taking action on
said rate application;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Council of the City of Beaumont shall hold a public
hearing on the application of Gulf States Utilities Company for a
rate increase on Tuesday , September 21, 1982 at 1 : 15 p.m. in the
City Council Chambers, City Hall, Beaumont, Texas.
