WHEREAS, bids were received for Grant #C-481254-04 Contract
12A - Segment 36 Interceptor; and,
WHEREAS, Russ Miller Construction Company submitted a bid
in the amount of $1 ,148,381.00 and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Russ Miller Construction Company is the lowest and best
bid and should be accepted; and,
WHEREAS, award of bid should be made contingent upon
approval of the Environmental Protection Agency and the Texas
Department of Water Resources;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Russ Miller Construction Company is hereby accepted
by the City of Beaumont subject to approval by the Environmental
Protection Agency and the Texas Department of Water Resources, and
the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Russ
Miller Construction Company in the amount of $1 ,148,381. 00 for Grant
#C-481254-04 Contract 12A - Segment 36 Interceptor.
