WHEREAS, the City Manager has submitted to the City
Council a proposed budget and explanatory budget message for the
fiscal year beginning October 1 , 1982 in accordance with Article
VI, Section 2 , of the Charter of the City of Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, a copy of the proposed budget and budget message
and all supporting schedules are on file and available for public
inspection in the office of the City Clerk in accordance with
Article VI, Section 3 of the Charter of the City of Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, Article VI requires that, after notice, a public
hearing be held on the proposed budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT a public hearing on the proposed budget for the fiscal year
beginning October 1, 1982, shall be held at 1 : 00 p.m. , August 31,
1982, at the City Council Chambers,, City Hall, Beaumont, Texas.
