BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, authorized and
directed to take all necessary steps to dismiss that certain law
suit styled Meyers, et al v. Baldridge, MDL 444, presently pending
in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland;
and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he
is hereby, authorized to pay to John E. Flaherty, Jr. , National
Lead Counsel, the sum of $13264.66, as the pro rata share of fees
and expenses assessed against the City of Beaumont in the above
styled litigation.
