R E S 0 L U T 1 0 N
WHEREAS, on September 9, 1980, the City of Beaumont
entered into a contract with Daniels Building & Construction for
renovation of the City Auditorium in the amount of $3,990,000. 00;
and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 7 in the amount of $39,128. 00
has been recommended to provide for building graphics, addition of
a walk along acoustic drape in orchestra pit in lieu of decouatic
panels on walls, revisions to mouldings and paint scheme, and
correction of structural deficiencies at the Pearl Street lobby
entrance floor and the portico; and,
WHEREAS, the following allowances from unobligated funds
remaining from a $300,000 private endowment be provided:
Purchase of Lobby Drapes $23,377-00
Purchase of Lobby Furniture
and Miscellaneous Furniture $21,540. 00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
Change Order No. 7 to the contract with Daniels Building &
Construction thereby bringing the contract amount to
$3,940,076. 00;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that additional allowances from
unobligated funds remaining from a private endowment fund be
allocated as provided above.
