R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of one (1)
100 H. P. air compressor; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 82-188 dated May 25, 1982, the
City Council awarded a bid for purchase thereof to Air Power, Inc. ;
and,
WHEREAS, such bid was not the lowest and best bid and its
acceptance should be rescinded; and,
WHEREAS, Sullair Industrial Sales and Service of Houston,
Texas submitted a bid in the amount of $16,514. 00; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Sullair Industrial Sales and Service is the lowest and
best bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT acceptance of the bid of Air Power, Inc. is cancelled and that
the bid of Sullair Industrial Sales and Service in the amount of
$16,514. 00 for one (1 ) 100 H. P. air compressor is hereby accepted
by the City of Beaumont and the City Manager is hereby authorized
to make payment for same upon acceptable delivery.
