WHEREAS, Texas Commerce Bank-Beaumont, NA, Trustee under
the trust established in the will of Rudolph C . Miller and Byrdie G.
Miller, known as the Rudolph C. Miller Community Fund, has
constructed a neighborhood library on a 2. 28 acre tract of land out
of Block 10 from a portion of the west one-half of the E. Williams
League, Abstract No. 56, in Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
located on Dowlen Road; and,
WHEREAS, said Trustee has conveyed the library and premises
to the City of Beaumont for so long as the land and building are used
as a City-owned and City-operated library;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the conveyance by the Texas Commerce Bank-Beaumont, NA, Trustee,
is hereby accepted by the City of Beaumont and that said library
shall forever be known as the R. C. Miller Memorial Library.
