WHEREAS, bids were received for construction of the
Harriot Street Lift Station; and,
WHEREAS, Mar-Len, Inc. , submitted a bid in the amount of
$578, 963. 00 ; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Mar-Len, Inc. , is the lowest and best bid and should
be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Mar-Len, Inc. , in the amount of $578,963. 00 for
construction of the Harriot Street Lift Station is hereby accepted
by the City of Beaumont and the City Manager is hereby authorized
to execute a contract with Mar-Len, Inc. , for such project,
contingent upon approval by the Texas Department of Water Resources
and the Environmental Protection Agency.
