HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 82-132 _ 'P12-i3a R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, by Resolution 82-45 of the City Council dated February 9, 1982, a bid for furnishing property insurance, primarily flood and earthquake, for the period of February 15, 1982 through February 15, 1985, was awarded to American Centenniel Insurance Company through the Munro Insurance Agency; and, WHEREAS, the insurance policy delivered was not in accordance with the specifications; and, WHEREAS, the Lexington Insurance Company submitted a bid through the Sol L. Wisenberg Insurance Agency for such insurance for a cost of $19,490 annually; and, WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Lexington Insurance Company should be accepted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: THAT the action taken by the City Council on February 9, 1982, through Resolution 82-45 awarding the bid for property insurance, primarily flood and earthquake, to American Centenniel Insurance Company shall be, and it is hereby, rescinded; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of Lexington Insurance Company for property insurance, primarily flood and earthquake, for a term ending February 15, 1985, is hereby accepted, and the City Manager is hereby authorized to pay said premiums for such insurance in three annual installments.
