WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of water
pipe and fittings for the Water Distribution Division; and,
WHEREAS, the following manufacturers submitted bids in
the amounts listed below:

Big State Utility Supply (Lufkin) $ 7,814- 56
Municipal Pipe & Fabricating (Houston) 1,806. 30
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bids submitted are the lowest and best bids and should be
accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids submitted by the above listed manufacturers in the
amounts stated are hereby accepted by the City of Beaumont, and
the City Manager is hereby authorized to make payment for same
upon acceptable delivery.
