WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of uniforms
for Fire Department personnel; and,
WHEREAS, Martin's Kaufman Uniform Company of San
Antonio, Texas submitted a bid in the amount of $2,430. 00 for two
hundred ( 200) shirts and Tyler Uniform Company , Inc. , of Tyler,
Texas submitted a bid in the amount of $3, 152. 40 for one hundred
thirty-two (132) regular trousers and six (6 ) officer trousers;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bids submitted by Martin's Kaufman Uniform Company and Tyler
Uniform Company are the lowest and best bids and should be
accepted ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT' the bids of Martin's Kaufman Uniform Company and Tyler
Uniform Company for Fire Department personnel uniforms as set out
above in the approximate amounts of $2 ,430. 00 and $3,152. 40,
respectively , are hereby accepted by the City of Beaumont and the
City Manager is hereby authorized to make payment for same upon
acceptable delivery.
