R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on October 7, 1980, the City of Beaumont and
Jefferson County entered into an option for the purchase by the City
of three tracts of property known as the TB Hospital Property; and,
WHEREAS, the City desires to exercise its option for the
purchase of Tract 2 as described in said option agreement; and,
WHEREAS, the Beaumont Art Museum will pay to the City the
purchase price of the property in exchange for a lease of the
property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby , authorized to execute the
option to purchase Tract 2 as described in the option agreement
between Jefferson County and the City of Beaumont dated October 7 ,
1980 for the sum of $85, 000 and to execute a lease agreement leasing
the property to the Beaumont Art Museum.
