WHEREAS, bids were received for a six-month contract for
the purchase of cement stabilized sand; and,
WHEREAS, Keown Supply Company of Beaumont, Texas
submitted a bid in the amount of $13. 80 per ton for Sand Cement
1-1/2 and $15. 70 per ton for Sand Cement 2 ;
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Keown Supply Company is the lowest and best bid and
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAI' the bid of Keown Supply Company for a six-month contract for
cement stabilized sand in the amounts stated above are hereby
accepted by the City of Beaumont and the City Manager is hereby
authorized to make payment for same upon acceptable delivery.
