WHEREAS, bids were received for the demolition of the
1913 settling basin located at the Water Treatment Plant on Pine
Street; and,
WHEREAS, Olshan Demolishing Company , Inc. submitted a
bid in the amount of $44, 444. 00 ; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Olshan Demolishing Company , Inc. is the lowest and
best bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Olshan Demolishing Company, Inc. is hereby
accepted by the City of Beaumont and the City Manager is hereby
authorized to execute a contract with Olshan Demolishing Company,
Inc. in the amount of $44, 444. 00 for the demolition of the 1913
settling basin.
