WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of four ( 4 )
3/4 ton trucks with service bodies, two ( 2 ) 4 door sedans and one
( 1 ) 4 door station wagon; and,
WHEREAS, Beaumont Motor Company of Beaumont, Texas
submitted bids in the amounts of $41,912. 24 and $20, 276.92,
respectively; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bids submitted by Beaumont Motor Company are the lowest and best
bids and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids of Beaumont Motor Company in the amounts of
$41,912. 24 and $20,276.92, respectively, are hereby accepted by
the City of Beaumont and the City Manager is hereby authorized to
make payment for same upon acceptable delivery.
