WHEREAS, on August 1, 1978, the City of Beaumont entered
into a contract with the Economic Development Foundation to provide
for the advertising and promotion of the City to business and
industry; and,
WHEREAS, said contract is automatically renewed with the
approval of the Economic Development Foundation' s annual budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT City funding for the budget of the Economic Development
Foundation for 1982 is approved with City contributions equal to the
amount provided by private sector contributions, provided that the
contribution of the City of Beaumont shall not exceed $80, 000.00.
