HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 81-523 P/-S"-a 3 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, agreements have been negotiated for the purchase of the following tracts of land needed as easements for the Sanitary Sewage System Improvements Segment 70 Intercepter; Tract No. 10: 1 ,360 square foot tract of Lot 5, Block 29, West Oakland Addition Owner: C . B. Holland Price: $163.00 Tract No. 11: 3,950 square foot tract out of Lots 6, 7, and 8, Block 29, West Oakland Addition Owner: Joshua Dean, et ux Price: $475.00 Tract No. 12: 1 ,100 square foot tract out of Lot 9, Block 29, West Oakland Addition Owner: Leland Randall Price: $150.00 and, WHEREAS, the following easements have been tendered to the City of Beaumont for the Sanitary Sewage System Improvements Segment 70 Intercepter; Tract No. 14: 1 , 400 square foot tract out of the J. W. Bullock Survey Owner: Bessie Knighton Tract No. 15: 7,812 square foot tract out of the J. W. Bullock Survey Owner: M and E Food Mart, Inc. No. 2 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: THAT the City Manager of the City of Beaumont be, and he is hereby, authorized to purchase Tracts 10, 11, and 12 above and the donations of tracts 14 and 15 are hereby accepted, all as described in Exhibits A, B, C, D, and E attached hereto. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the day of 19 d1/ Mayor - 1,2/S-.R`/ i TRACT NO. 10 Utility Easement Being all that portion of Lot 5 Block 29 of West Oakland Addition to the City of Beaumont Vol . 2, page 152, Map Records of Jefferson County, Texas, remain- ing after right-of-way was taken for the widening of State Highway 124, and containing approximately 1360 square feet. EXHIBIT "A" f TRACT NO. 11 20 Foot Utility Easement ! Being a 20 foot wide strip of land off the northwest sides of Lots 6, 7, and 8 of Block 29, West Oakland Addition to the City of Beaumont, Vol . 2, page 152, i Map Records of Jefferson County, Texas, said 20 foot strip being parallel and adjacent to the southeast side of the 120 foot right-of-way for- State Highway 124, and containing approximately 3950 square feet. EXHIBIT "B" TRACT NO. 12 20 Foot Utility Easement Being a 20 foot wide strip of land off the northwest side of Lot 9 Block 29 of West Oakland Addition to the City of Beaumont, Vol. 2, page 152, Map Records of Jefferson County, Texas, and off the northwest side of any portion of an aban- doned street right-of-way lying adjacent to the north line of Lot 9, said 20 foot strip being parallel and adjacent to the southeast side of the 120 foot right-of-way for State Highway 124, and containing a total of approximately 1100 square feet. EXHIBIT "C" TRACT NO. 14 . Utility Easement Being out of and a part of the Bessie M. Knighton 5 acre tract in the J. W. Bullock Survey, Abstract 7,-Jefferson County, Texas, as described in deed dated October 4, 1962, and recorded in Vol . 1326, page 144, of the Deed Records of said County, and the easement out of said 5 acre tract being more particularly described as follows; BEGINNING at the northwest corner of the Bessie M. Knighton 5 acre tract, said corner being the intersection point of the east line of Dolores Street and the southeasterly right-of-way line of State Highway 124; THENCE north 52 deg. 26 min. east along the southeasterly right-of-way line of Highway 124 and the northwesterly line of the Knighton tract a distance of 115 feet to a point for corner; THENCE south 42 deg. 00 min. west a distance 'of 134.7 feet to a point in the west line of the Knighton tract, same being the east line of Dolores Street; THENCE north 01 deg. 57 min. west along the west line of the Knighton tract and the east line of Dolores a distance of 30 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING, and containing approximately 1400 square feet or 0.03 acres of land. EXHIBIT "D" ` Y TRACT N0. 15 20 Foot Utility Easement Being a 20 foot wide strip of land across the M & E Food Mart, Inc. , tract of land in the J. W. Bullock Survey, A-7, described in deed recorded in Volume 1912, page 161 of the Deed Records of Jefferson County, said 20 foot strip being 10 feet on each side of the following described centerline: BEGINNING at a point in the most easterly east line of the M & E Food Mart tract and the west line of Ave A, said point being South 10 deg. 05 min. 30 sec. East 22.56 feet from the most easterly northeast corner of said tract and the southeast corner of the Lamar State Bank tract as described in deed in Volume 1154, page 349, Deed Records of said county; THENCE south 70 deg. 08 min. 17 sec. west a distance of 141.68 feet to an angle point; THENCE west a distance of 216.58 feet to an angle point; THENCE south 49 deg. 35 min. 34 sec. west a distance of 32.16 feet to the ending point of this easement centerline, said point being in the west line of the M & E Food Mart tract and the east line of Avenue B, and being south 04 deg. 23.1 min. east 179.26 feet from the northwest corner of said M & E Food Mart tract. This easement contains approximately 7812 square feet of land. EXHIBIT "E"
