WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of three
(3 ) 3 Cubic Yard Dump Trucks and two (2 ) 2 Cubic Yard Dump Trucks;
and,
WHEREAS, Tidelands International, Inc. , of Beaumont,
Texas and Beaumont Motor Company of Beaumont, Texas submitted bids
in the amounts of $55,455.00 and $22,423.08, respectively; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bids submitted by Tidelands International, Inc. , and Beaumont
Motor Company are the lowest and best bids and should be
accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT -.'. bid of Tidelands International, Inc. , in the amount of
$55,4:= 5-5 .00 and the bid of Beaumont Motor Company in the amount of
$22,42.1.08 are hereby accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the
City Manager is hereby authorized to make payment for same upon
acceptable delivery.
