R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, by resolution number 81-413 passed by the City
Council on October 6 , 1981 , a parcel of land needed for the Major
Drive -Calder Intersection Project (82-B 229-00475) was acquired
by the City of Beaumont from Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Long and
described as 0 .4132 acres of land out of a 2 .5093 acre tract lying
and being situated in the A. Houston Survey, Abstract No. 33,
Jefferson County, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, title was inadvertently acquired in the name of
the City of Beaumont instead of the name of the State of Texas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
a deed conveying the above described property to the State of
Texas.
