WHEREAS, bids were received for Grant #C-481254-04 -
Contract 1 - STP with the Water Utilities Department; and,
WHEREAS, C.F.W. Construction Company, Inc. , of
Fayetteville, Tennessee submitted a bid in the amount of
$5,816,300.00; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by C .F.W. Construction Company , Inc. , is the lowest and
best bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of C .F.W. Construction Company, Inc. , in the amount
of $5,816, 300.00 is hereby accepted by the City of Beaumont and
the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
same for Grant #C-481254-04 - Contract 1 - STP, contingent upon
approval by the Texas Department of Water Resources and the
Environmental Protection Agency.
