R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on August 18, 1981, the City of Beaumont
entered into a contract with Excavators and Contractors, Inc. , for
Census Tract 23 Project No. 46-13-305-08718 in the amount of
$1, 745,763.25; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 has been recommended to
provide for the tapping, testing, removal and/or lowering of five
(5 ) abandoned pipelines crossing Usan and Houston Streets
discovered during excavation for paving of this project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
Change Order No. 2 to the contract with Excavators and
Contractors, Inc. , thereby increasing the contract amount from
$1 , 745,763.25 to $1 ,750, 763.25.
