WHEREAS, an agreement has been negotiated for the
purchase of a parcel of land needed for the Major Drive - Calder
Intersection Project ( 82-B 229-00475) for its appraised value;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the purchase from Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Long of 0 .4132 acres
of land out of a 2 .5093 acre tract of land lying and being
situated in A. Houston Survey, Abstract No. 33, Jefferson County,
Texas, is hereby authorized for the sum of $65, 397 .20 .
