WHEREAS, on September 9 , 1981 , bids were received for
the purchase of various component signal apparatus from several
suppliers as shown below:

Consolidated Traffic Controls, Inc. $50,328 .00
Minnesota Mining & Mfg . Co. , Inc. $ 4,120.00
Safetran Traffic Systems, Inc. $10,692.00
Signal Engineering Co. $15,456.00
Traffic & Transportation Supply, Inc. $ 726.00
Trans Tronics, Inc. $ 6,765.00
Union Metal Mfg . Co . $21,067.60
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bids submitted by the aforementioned suppliers are the lowest and
best bids and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids of the suppliers herein stated are hereby accepted
by the City of Beaumont and the City Manager is hereby authorized
to execute contracts with same in the amounts stated for the
purchase of various component signal apparatus.
