WHEREAS, on June 9 , 1981 , the City of Beaumont entered into
a contract with W. R. Boyd , Inc. for construction of the 1981 Street
Rehabilitation Program, Project IV ; and,.
WHEREAS, Change Order No . 1 has been recommended to
revise the contract by providing for the contractor to furnish labor,
equipment and materials necessary for improvements to Brooks Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby , authorized to execute
Change Order No . 1 to the contract with W. R. Boyd , Inc. thereby
increasing the amount of the contract from $763 ,223.82 to
$863,303.82.
