R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the Board of Equalization certified the
assessment roll of property of the City of Beaumont for the year
1981 by stating that the statements contained in the certificate of
the Assessor and Collector of the City of Beaumont are true and
correct ; and,
WHEREAS, the certificate of Gustav R. Wimp , Assessor and
Collector of the City of Beaumont, certified the assessment roll of
property for the year 1981 to be as follows:
LAND & IMPROVEMENTS $1 ,269 , 111 ,086
OIL ROYALTIES 22,560,060
TOTAL REAL ESTATE $1 ,291 ,671 , 146
SENIOR CITIZEN & VETERANS, DISABLED,
AGRICULTURAL AND OTHER EXEMPTIONS
GRANTED BY STATUTE - 94,377, 317
TOTAL ASSESSED REAL ESTATE 1 , 197, 293,829

and,
WHEREAS, the Assessment Roll with the approval of the
Board of Equalization has been returned to the City Council and the
Council is of the opinion that same is correct and should be
approved and adopted as the Assessment Roll to be used for the
collection of taxes for the current year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT :
THAT the Assessment Roll of property for the year 1981 , showing
total taxable property of $ 1 ,553,040,314 based upon 100% of market
value as certified by Gustav R. Wimp , Assessor and Collector, and
as certified by the Board of Equalization, is hereby approved and
the same is adopted as the Assessment Roll of the City of Beaumont
to be used for the collection of taxes for the current year of
1981 ; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby
authorized to sign the certificate of the Tax Assessor and
Collector and the Board of Equalization as approved by this Council
as of September 8 , 1981 .
