R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, by resolution passed by the City Council on
March 10, 1981 , $91 ,900.00 in Community Development Block
Grant Funds was allocated for Social Service Program Facility
Rehabilitation; and,
WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee has recommended
that said funds be granted to the following social service
organizations in the following amounts for facility
rehabilitation:
Fairway Houses - $30,000
Stewart' s Halfway House - $19 ,900
Goodwill Industries - $ 3,300
Beaumont Junior Forum - $ 4 ,500
YWCA - $ 8 ,800
Some Other Place - $ 91900
Unity House - $15 ,500
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to adopt the
recommendations of the Citizens Advisory Committee,
NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT :
THAT the aforementioned social service organizations should
receive grant funds for facility rehabilitation in the amounts
specified above.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he
is hereby authorized to enter into a grant contract with each of
the aforementioned agencies for the purpose of providing such CDBG
funds for their respective rehabilitation projects.
