WHEREAS, on August 18 , 1981 , bids were received for
furnishing a complete shoring system consisting of 12 shores,
bucket pump with hose, and a trench box which will be used in
trench excavation by the Sewer Maintenance Department; and,
WHEREAS, the Plank Company of Houston submitted a bid in
the amount of $ 10, 268.00 ; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by the Plank Company is the lowest and best bid and
should be accepted;
NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of the Plank Company in the amount of $ 10,268 is
hereby accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the City Manager is
hereby authorized to make payment for same upon acceptable
delivery .
