R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, bids were received for drilling rights on the
275. 44 acres of the Beaumont Municipal Airport; and,
WHEREAS, Lear Petroleum Exploration, Inc. submitted a
bid in the amount of $50 . 00 a month per acre for a three (3) year
lease, plus a $55, 088.00 lease bonus and 25% royalty interest for
any minerals discovered; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Lear Petroleum Exploration, Inc. should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Lear Petroleum Exploration, Inc. as stated above
be accepted and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
a lease with Lear Petroleum Exploration, Inc. for said drilling
rights .
