WHEREAS, an agreement has been negotiated for the
purchase from Rosalee Hurels of a parcel of land needed for the
widening, straightening, and construction of Houston Street in
Census Tract 23, a Community Development Block Grant Project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the purchase from Rosalee Hurels of Parcel No. 11, the same
being 211.75 square feet out of City Tax Tract 53, Plat B-10, J.
W. Bullock Survey to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County,
Texas, is hereby authorized for the sum of $265. 00.
