WHEREAS, on July 15, 1981, bids were received for street
and drainage improvements in Census Tract 17, 4th year, under the
Community Development Block Grant Program; and,
WHEREAS, Russ Miller Construction Company submitted a
bid in the amount of $310, 347. 86; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Russ Miller Construction Company is the lowest and
best bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Russ Miller Construction Company is hereby
accepted by the City of Beaumont and the City Manager is hereby
authorized to execute a contract with Russ Miller Construction
Company in the amount of $310, 347. 86 for street and drainage
improvements in Census Tract 17, 4th year.
