WHEREAS, on May 19, 1981 the City of Beaumont entered
into a contract with John Bankston Construction & Equipment
Rental, Inc. for the 1981 Water System Improvements; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 has been recommended to
revise Project II of the contract by extending the proposed water
line on Hoover Street from North Tenth to North Ninth, down North
Ninth from Hoover to Jewel;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
Change Order No . 1 to the contract with John Bankston Construction
& Equipment Rental, Inc. thereby increasing the amount from
$73,113.25 to $91,363. 25.
