WHEREAS, on July 1, 1981, bids were received for
furnishing pit sand to the Solid Waste Department for the period
of August 1, 1981, through July 30, 1982; and,
WHEREAS, L. 0. Block Construction Company of Kirbyville
submitted a bid in the amount of $1 .14 per cubic yard; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by L. 0. Block Construction Company is the lowest and
best bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of L. 0. Block Construction company be accepted by
the City of Beaumont, and the City Manager is authorized to
execute an agreement with L. 0. Block Construction Company in the
amount of $1 .14 per cubic yard.
