WHEREAS, on June 24, 1981, bids were received for
cleaning and painting the exterior of the one million gallon
elevated water storage tank at Liberty and 13th Street; and,
WHEREAS, Duncan Construction Company , Inc. submitted a
bid in the amount of $16, 954. 00; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Duncan Construction Company , Inc. is the lowest and
best bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Duncan Construction Company , Inc. is hereby
accepted by the City of Beaumont and the City Manager is hereby
authorized to execute a contract with Duncan Construction, Inc. in
the amount of $16, 954. 00 for the cleaning and painting the
exterior of the one million gallon elevated water storage tank at
Liberty and 13th Street.
