R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on May 27, 1981, bids were received for
furnishing various brass pipe fittings for the Water Distribution
Department; and,
WHEREAS, East Texas Service Corporation submitted the
following:
800 - 3/4" Brass Couplings $ 0 .70/ea.
200 - 1" Brass Couplings 1.07/ea.
400 - 3/4" Brass Ell 0 .86/ea.
400 - 3/4" Brass St. Ell 1.12/ea.
200 - 1" Brass St. Ell 1 .87/ea.
800 - 1 x 3/4" Brass Bushing 0.70/ea.
300 - 1 1/2 x 1" Brass Bushing 1.55/ea.
300 - 1 x 3/4" Bell Reducer 1.40/ea.
300 - 1 1/2 x 1" Bell Reducer 2.89/ea.
300 - 2 x 1 1/2" Bell Reducer 4. 29/ea.
300 - 1" Brass Tee 1.89/ea.
300 - 1 1/2" Brass Tee 3.68/ea.
WHEREAS, Golden Triangle Pipe and Water Supply Company
submitted the following:
400 - 3/411 x 2" Brass Nipple $ 0.60/ea.
600 - 3/4" x 6" Brass Nipple 1.63/ea.
200 - 1 x 3" Brass Nipple 1.29/ea.
400 - 1 x 6" Brass Nipple 2. 30/ea.
200 - 1 1/2 x 4" Brass Nipple 2.70/ea.
600 - 1 1/2 x 6" Brass Nipple 3.93/ea.
200 - 2 x 6" Brass Nipple 5.00/ea.
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bids submitted by East Texas Service Corporation and Golden
Triangle Pipe and Water Supply Company should be accepted;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids of East Texas Service Corporation and Golden
Triangle Pipe and Water Supply Company in the amounts stated above
be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the City Manager is
hereby authorized to make payment for same upon acceptable
delivery .
