R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, bids were received on May 27, 1981, for
furnishing police cruisers and detective cars for the Police
Department; and,
WHEREAS, Kinsel Ford, Inc. submitted a bid as follows:
15 police cruisers @ $ 8,741.83 = $131,127. 45
12 4-door detective cars @ $6,943.44 = $ 83,321.28
WHEREAS the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Kinsel Ford, Inc. is the lowest and best bid and
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Kinsel Ford, Inc. is hereby accepted by the City
of Beaumont and the City Manager is hereby authorized to make
payment for said police cruisers and 4-door detective cars upon
acceptable delivery .
