WHEREAS, an agreement has been negotiated for the
purchase from Joseph Smith of a parcel of land needed for the
widening, straightening, and construction of Southerland Street in
the Community Development Block Grant Project (B-80-MC-48-0003) ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the purchase from Joseph Smith of all of Lot 1, Block 3 , of
the Rosemont Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County,
Texas, is hereby authorized for the sum of $8,000. 00.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
