WHEREAS, on May 13, 1981 , bids were received for the
construction of two (2) covered play areas to be located at
Cottonwood Park and Central Park. These covered play areas are
part of the park improvements project financed by a UPARR grant;
and,
WHEREAS, Merill Construction Company submitted a bid in
the amount of $75, 613.00; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Merrill Construction Company is the lowest and best
bid and should be accepted;
NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Merrill Construction Company is hereby accepted by
the City of Beaumont and the City Manager is hereby authorized to
execute a contract with Merrill Construction Company in the amount
of $75, 613.00 for the construction of two (2) covered play areas
to be located at Cottonwood Park and Central Park.
