R E S 0 L U T- I O N
WHEREAS, on May 6, 1981, bids were received for the sale
of a 1948 American LaFrance 750 GPM pumper and a 1947 American
LaFrance 100-foot aerial ladder truck; and
WHEREAS, Etoile Volunteer Fire Department submitted a
bid in the amount of $2,750 for the 1948 American LaFrance 750 GPM
pumper; and
WHEREAS, Vidor Volunteer Fire Department submitted a bid
in the amount of $2,000 for the 1947 American LaFrance 100-foot
aerial ladder truck; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bids submitted by Etoile Volunteer Fire Department and the Vidor
Volunteer Fire Department should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Etoile Volunteer Fire Department in the amount of
$2,750, and the bid of the Vidor Volunteer Fire Department in the
amount of $2,000 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
