WHEREAS, bids were received for furnishing and
installing two ( 2 ) base stations, antennas, and transmission
lines for the Building Maintenance and Fire Departments; and,
WHEREAS, the following bids were submitted:
Gr aybar Electric Company - 2,500 ft. support cable - $ 3,250.00
Motorola, Inc. - Two dual frequency base stations
( Installed) - 12,036. 00
Motorola, Inc. - Antennas & Transmission Lines
(Material only) - 12,495.00
TWR. Telecom, Inc. - Antennas & Transmission Lines
( Installed) - 3,041.50
WHEREAS, bids were received for furnishing three (3 )
mobile radios for the Police Department; and,
WHEREAS, Motorola, Inc. submitted a bid in the amount of
$1 ,492 .00 each; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bids submitted by Gr aybar Electric Company, Motorola, Inc. , and
TWR Telecom, Inc. , should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids of Graybar Electric Company, Motorola, Inc. , and TWR
Telecom, Inc. , in the amounts stated above be accepted by the City
of Beaumont, and the City Manager is hereby authorized to make
payment for same upon acceptable delivery.
