WHEREAS, bids were received for the demolition of the
former United Appeals Building; and,
WHEREAS, Olshan Demolishing Company, Inc. submitted a bid
in the amount of $19,880.00; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Olshan Demolishing Company, Inc. is the lowest and
best bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Olshan Demolishing Company, Inc. is hereby accepted
by the City of Beaumont, and the City Manager is hereby authorized
to execute a contract with Olshan Demolishing Company, Inc. in the
amount of $19,880.00 for the demolition of the former United
Appeals Building.
