WHEREAS,WHEREAS, Lawrence Daranda has submitted an application to
the City of Beaumont for a license to operate a taxicab service
within the corporate limits of the City of Beaumont, Jefferson
County, Texas, said application being dated March 4, 1981; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has heard and considered
whether the demands of public convenience and necessity require
such proposed or such additional taxicabs within the city; the
financial responsibility of the applicant; the number, kind and
type of equipment to be used; the increased traffic congestion on
the streets of the city which might result; whether the safe use
of the streets by the public, both vehicular and pedestrian, will
be preserved by the granting of such additional permits; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
acceptance of said application will serve the demand of public
convenience and necessity and that same should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT said application submitted by the above named to the City of
Beaumont be, and the same is hereby, in all things accepted.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
