WHEREAS, on the 11th day of October, 1979, the City of
Beaumont entered into a contract with Signal Engineering Company
for the installation of the computerized traffic signal system;
and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 4 to said contract has been
proposed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
Change Order No. 4, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit
"A" , to the contract between the City of Beaumont and Signal
Engineering Company for the installation of the computerized
traffic signal system.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this

Authorization is hereby requested for a change in the Specifications as
follows:
Item IA (See Change Order No. 1) $157,396.00
A. Delete Aerms 85 from contract ($27,000)
B. Add MP-3 Option to provide 96K
computer operating as background
processor to VMS 220 system. This
provides for Fortran IV, Webster,
Passer II and Transyt program
operation. To be delivered and
made operational on our computer
by September 1, 1981. $18,770.00
C. Agree to pay all retainage less $5,000
for MP-3. Said $5,000 retainage to be
paid upon satisfactory operation of MP-3 ,
D. Terms of M11-3 are:
50o Net 30 Days upon shipment of hardware
250 net 30 Days on completion of installation
and demonstration of Fortran IV execution
capability
25o Net 30 Days on completion of all software
delivery
Total Reduction this Change Order ($8,230.00)
The work covered by this order shall be performed under the same terms and
conditions as included in the original construction contract.
