R E S 0 L U T I 0_N
WHEREAS, bids were received for furnishing a year' s
supply of chemicals for water and sewage treatment; and,
WHEREAS, the following bids were submitted:
Stauffer Chemical Co. (Houston) - Aluminum Sulfate - $220.40/ton
Austin White Lime Co . (Austin) - Hydrated Lime - $99 .60/ton
Jones Chemical Co . (Houston) - Liquid Chlorine - $214 .00/ton
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bids submitted by Stauffer Chemical Co. , Austin White Lime Co . ,
and Jones Chemical Co . should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids of Stauffer Chemical Co. , Austin White Lime Co . , and
Jones Chemical Co . are hereby accepted by the City of Beaumont,
and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract
with Stauffer Chemical Co . , Austin White Lime Co . , and Jones
Chemical Co. in the amounts stated above for a year' s supply of
chemicals.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
