WHEREAS, bids were received for Part I of the 1981
Street Rehabilitation and Resurfacing Program for the Public Works
and Engineering Department; and,
WHEREAS, W. R. Boyd, Inc. submitted a bid in the amount
of $778,004.76; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by W. R. Boyd, Inc. is the lowest and best bid and
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of W. R. Boyd, Inc. is hereby accepted by the City of
Beaumont, and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a
contract with W. R. Boyd, Inc. in the amount of $778,004.76 for
Part I of the 1981 Street Rehabilitation and Resurfacing Program.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
